PrimeCare’s Early Intervention Program will reduce claims costs by:

• Addressing causation (is the diagnosis consistent with the mechanism of injury?)
  


• Facilitating accurate diagnosis and prompt appropriate testing early in the claim
  


• Ensuring that the injured employee is receiving quality medical care and the treatment plan is consistent with evidence based guidelines
  


• Establishing a plan for return to work at the outset
  


• Identifying “red flags” that may adversely affect case resolution
  


• Promoting prompt and effective communication between all the parties, reducing delays and avoiding opportunities for misunderstandings
